How to turn an email into an event (with Add Event!)

Add Event is the easiest way to turn an email into a calendar event - without leaving your inbox!

If Boomerang detects a potential event time in an email, you will be prompted with this blue bar, which we call Boomerang Magic.

Click on the Add Event button, on the right side of the bar.

If you don't see the Boomerang magic bar, you can also click on the calendar icon to the right of the Boomerang button above your email, then click Create Event to manually trigger the dialog:

In the dialog that opens, you will see the Boomerang has highlighted the times detected in the email, with a color coded indication whether you are free, busy, or if there are potential conflicts before or after the event. Hover over each time to see it in context with your schedule.

Once you've selected a time, Boomerang will detect and populate any relevant details into the right side of the dialog.

If you'd like, you can choose to send calendar invitations to other recipients of the email, send reminder emails ahead of time, or Boomerang the message to your inbox ahead of the event, as a reminder for yourself!

After confirming that everything looks right to you, click on Add Event.

The event will be added to your Google Calendar - no more switching back and forth between tabs to check your availability, or copy over information!
